The test is performed on dry asphalt where the test vehicle engages a sequence of turning at the maximum allowed speed following a line defined by 12 cones placed at a distance of 18 m each. The performance is evaluated by measuring the driving time between the start and finish gates. The run-times are recorded automatically by a timing device mounted on the test vehicle. The Electronic Stability Control has to be switched off. A track conditioning with out of test tires is mandatorily required before starting the test. The test starts with the control tire set to be re-tested at the end of the session in order to keep into consideration possible changes of the test conditions. 3 valid runs are measured for each tire set and the average run-time is considered for the overall result (expressed in %).
